The Finisher convinces at the SEMA

For four days it smelled of rubber, tires squeaked and more than 160,000 visitors cavorted on the Las Vegas Convention Center. At the SEMA Show 2019, exhibitors from the industry of tuning, vehicle care and reconditioning as well as accessories showed which products they offer to the various professionals of the scene. For the first time, we were also present at the world’s leading trade fair for special automotive products, celebrating the start of our expansion into the USA. Our Koch-Chemie star “The Finisher” was right in the middle of it and present everywhere.

We had big plans for our first appearance at the SEMA Show. We wanted to lay the foundation for a successful market entry in the USA. With the start of the trade fair on Tuesday, however, we could see that the first foundation stones had already been laid. In the USA, Koch-Chemie was already a well-known brand among some professional detailers and buyers. More than once, potential customers came to our stand and enthusiastically told us that they already knew our products from various reviews, other countries or from social media.

First cooperation partners found

So it’s no wonder that the joy was great when we announced our cooperation with the online shop Autoality on Wednesday. As the first official partner of us in the USA, the professional online shop will sell our products in the USA. First of all these will be our three polishes H9.01, M3.02 as well as P3.01, which we had as highlights at SEMA. But also further 27 chemical products, which we want to bring in the first product wave on the American market, will be gradually available at Autoality from 2020. In discussions with other distributors, we were also able to take important steps for our sales network in the USA during SEMA. So it won’t stay with one partner for a long time. All developments regarding which products are available when and where in the USA are made available on our “The Finisher” microsite.

Regarding “The Finisher”: Besides our polishing system as star of the booth, our campaign star has not only conquered the SEMA show but the whole of Las Vegas. “The Finisher” was shown as video 24/7 on the almost 70 m² LED panel in front of the Westgate Hotel, which was prominently recognizable not only from the fairground but also from the Las Vegas Strip or during a helicopter flight over the city. “The Finisher” stickers decorated the SEMA lettering, handrails and other signages in Guerrilla Marketing style. Visitors to this year’s SEMA Show definitely couldn’t get past us.

This was just the beginning

We have clearly positioned our appreciation for the experts of the scene, all Finishers, on the American market as well. With our high-quality premium products for the demanding professional user, we want to be part of the finishing process. At its premiere in the USA, “The Finisher” ensured that we were able to communicate exactly that. Further milestones lie ahead for the year 2020 in the USA, so that Koch-Chemie can now be established as a brand and company in more than 60 countries. The SEMA Show is the world’s leading trade show for automotive specialty products, which takes place every year in Las Vegas. In 2019, more than 2400 exhibitors were present at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5th to 8th in a total of six halls and the outdoor area.
